TW2 Growth

My main thought is will TW2 actually have many players? The current tribe member limit is very high and multiple tribes already have 200 members, which makes you think that Inno is assuming there will be a high number of people joining. How does Inno plan to get the players when Inno has been losing players in the original TribalWars for years? The initial thing I noticed is the pp (crowns) are more expensive on TW2, probably to fund the creation and advancement of the new game. Does Innogames plan to actually advertise TribalWars2? There was basically no advertisement for the original TribalWars, and yet you see ads on television in regards to Forge of Empires and Grepolis. Hopefully the Tribalwars 2 CM can help answer my questions. Thanks.

Thanks for your post. Although I am not the community manager, I will comment and say that InnoGames does have a great marketing department that handles advertisements for all of the games they have in production. With that being said there is also some advertising that has already been done in the form of trailers. These have been re posted by other companies such as GameSpot and IGN. There is a lot of effort and time that goes into making this game and I am sure there will be many steps taken to make sure there is a growing player base. Keep in mind, though, we just entered into open beta.

In answer to your question, yes advertising is already being done, but we will just most likely have to wait and see what else InnoGames has in store for us!

To add to the fantastic answer given by CrimsonBlue, as we are just in open beta, we aren't quite ready to ramp up the advertising but I can assure you it is coming. We want to have the game ready to handle the masses. New Grepolis worlds routinely max out in 2-3 weeks after they are opened. I would expect nothing less from Tribal Wars 2 after we ramp up.

Here, no. In-game, yes. The open beta is just 5 days old, and the game already has approximately 10.000 players! The forums become popular after a month, or so, because of the competitions, and experienced players' posts, and tactics. Tribal Wars 2 is going to be a huge success.
