Building Hit Points.... ???

Building Hit Points.... can someone explaine to me what those Hit Point do and should i consider them....

Building hitpoints contribute to the difficulty of damaging a building using catapults. The greater the hitpoints, the more catapults you will need to damage that building.
I'm afraid I do not know the direct correlation between hitpoints and number of catapults needed.

that what a tought but i wanted to make sure... thank for the response and if we ever find out what is the correlation that would be a good info to post
