Berserker

Can anyone share some experiences how the berserker works in battles? I read on the wiki that it has 300 attack and if the defending army is greater they fight with double power. So my question is what it means by a greater army? More units or more provisions? Also is he an infantry unit?

spamup... from what I can gather as I didn't select berserker is that it improves each attack by a very high amount while also reducing the cost of infantry troops (spears/swords/archers/axes). The higher you build your halls of order the less you will pay to recruit (depending on which one you select) those infantry. I choose Trebuchet because it reminded me of having Bonfire (TW1) but I guess only time will tell which one suits my type of play.
