Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Tribalwars2 forum, thank you for taking time to actually read this forum. You may be a veteran or a new player and guess not registered yet, either way, we would like you to read the following:

Understand the Forum culture and its problems:

Positive messages vs. negative messages

We really want to create a fun, friendly and open-minded atmosphere on this forum; However, this cannot be done without your help! Your positive posts will not only add to the forum, they will encourage your readers to do the same. This is also the case for your negative messages, except that these will unfortunately be spread much more widely. This reaction does not generally exist with positive comments; only a minority is inclined to express their agreement.

Please pay attention to this when reading, posting and interacting on the forum.

Internet and its anonymity

Another problem with Forums is the anonymity that the Internet provides. It seems that courtesy and respect are forgotten when people are not face to face. As we do not know individuals directly, empathy sometimes leaves room for rudeness and effrontery. We want to ask you not to give in to this habit by remembering that each member of the forum is a human being with feelings, emotions and even self-esteem. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Lack of communication

Communication on a forum is different from face-to-face communication. It often happens that people hurt another person without realizing it. Jokes can be taken as insults. For example “I don’t love you anymore” or “I don’t love you anymore”. The smiley shows the mood you want to convey through the message, here the second message could be understood as friendly and teasing. Forumers often do not convey their mood and simple messages can be subject to interpretation by many. Using a smiley face is a quick and safe way to show that you don't want to offend anyone.

Toxic Individuals/Players

Unfortunately, there are players who ignore any ban, regardless of the severity of the sanction and continue to wilfully violate the rules either it be in the game or Forum. They can poison sections and it is thanks to you, by reporting this kind of individuals to the moderation team that they will be punished and then banned as quickly as possible. We assure you that we take all rule-breaking seriously and we investigate all reports. If we find sufficient evidence that rules were indeed broken, the appropriate actions will be taken.

How can I help the community?

Stay positive in debate:

Positive messages will attract new members who will appreciate being able to debate in a pleasant environment. Remember to be respectful and kind to everyone. This will add readings and participants to any discussions.

Don't participate in toxic topics:

Easier to say, harder to do. Always take the time to think and try to anticipate the progress of the debate. Do you really want to get this started? Sometimes the best is to start from a debate on someone's post which will not bring anything constructive. As always, don't forget to report users who go too far and violate the rules.

Do not forget also that our Moderators are active and they will jump in.

Avoid irrational messages:

Temporary posts can be a problem especially if you post them while upset about an issue. Don't hesitate to double-check if your message will add anything to the forum before posting it, even more so if you're in the middle of a heated debate. We often choose words we wouldn't normally use, and this can be avoided.

Report violations:

Unfortunately some players only come to the forum to cause trouble. In this case, the best thing to do is to contact the moderation team who will take care of the player and sanction them if necessary. To report a game related Breach of rules send your request to Support.

Stay calm…we are here to have fun:

We understand that Tribal Wars 2 is a player versus player strategy game, that you spy troops, villages or can lose units, a village or your entire kingdom and that this can be very frustrating.

We are also very happy that so many players do care about this game and want to play it. The goal of the game is and will always be to have fun, in a competitive environment, whether in the game or the forum and this will be reflected in your messages.
