Has combats executed in parallel been fixed?

Wondered if I'd missed this appearing in a 'release note' and can't find where I saw it now to see any responses.
This was the bug where if troops hit in the same second (?) then ALL the defending troops defended against all the attacks rather than some being lost then next combat etc.
(Or was there no bug at all and this how it is supposed to happen, or never happened?)
