Faithful Paladin doesn't work properly

I have lv5 statue but if I want attack outside my province I still see 50% combat strength instead of 100%, theorically church malus should be ignored, but why is still 50% ?

You need to send your Paladin with the other troops to make the effect work properly.

No, as Gilthoniel said, it's only attacks including the paladin that ignore the province border.

The Paladin only affects attacking troops.
